At Phoenix Kessaku, Zeba Kohli gave away all the elusive answers on a plate, for after all, chocolate is always the answer, whatever be the questions!
On 4th March, Phoenix Group made the most of a deliciously warm Saturday, by organising a unique extravaganza of exotic flavours and senses, courtesy Zeba Kohli, the much-revered Mumbai-based chocolatier.
To set the tone of the day, parents and children were treated to a street play by the WeMoveTheatre group. With anecdotes and interactive sessions around the subject of sustainable living,the children were imparted with new values to do their bit towards society and country.
Ms. Kohli is the third-generation owner of Fantasie, a luxury chocolate brand that’s been wowing its customers since 1946, by taking them on a delectable journey of flavours, with every bite. For Ms. Kohli, chocolate isn’t just a sweet savoury; it’s an experience that helps people connect with art, culture, and the finer nuances of life, with the most basic of senses: taste. A taste for all the good things.
That’s why organising a chocolate session with Phoenix Kessaku seemed like a match made in heaven. Mr. Arshia Ladak (Director, Phoenix Kessaku) put it in words, saying “Phoenix Kessaku has always been about curated experiences and the art of the finer nuances of life. We don’t just believe in selling a home, we also believe in creating experiences that one can cherish and today (by collaborating with Fantasie), we have created one such special experience for our guests”
The exclusive chocolate tasting and appreciation event spaced over two sessions – morning & evening, hosting existing Phoenix Kessaku customers and their guests, members of FICCI Flo, and some of Bangalore’s leading entrepreneurs including Nikhil Ranjan, CEO of William Penn.
Guests indulged on mouth-watering varieties of chocolate ranging from 100% dark, sweetened with dates, 70% and 53% dark, single origin and organic chocolate, as well as exotic chocolate delicacies made with pumpkin seeds, black sesame seeds, French hazelnuts, mint flakes, and even with a secret ingredient – sambar masala!
The guests of the evening session participated in a chocolate & alcohol pairing experience, amidst the expansive and elegant layout of Phoenix Kessaku, and took a glimpse into its crafted-to-detail luxuries
Ms. Kohli made the already grand event even grander, as she also put together exhibition of some of her famous edible works-of-art, that took shape as chocolate stoles, shoes, accessories, and jewellery. The majestic Phoenix Kessaku towers provided the perfect backdrop.
The night ended with a banquet of flavourful food and drinks, featuring a live cooking station from the chefs at Olive Beach, by the poolside. Guests chose from soups, risottos, pastas, and scrumptious desserts and enjoyed their meals at beautifully decorated cabanas serenaded with a live music performance.
The event brought together people who shared the same passion for art, high craft, and attention to detail. Phoenix as a brand believes and lives by the same passion, and together with Zeba Kohli, curated an event of fine tastes, that Bangaloreans will surely remember for a long time.
